Charles
Carden ,My
family moved quite a bit as I was
growing up consequently if we were
to attend
church
it had to be one close enough to
walk to. My mother was a born again
Christian and took us to church
until we were old enough to either
attend on our own or not as we
desired. I accepted Christ at age
fourteen and was a member of one of
the largest denominations in the
south for about forty years. My
late wife, as many people do got her
feelings hurt by one of prominent
ladies of the church where we were
members and refused to attend
there. She heard of a Full Gospel
church several miles from our home
and wanted to attend. To appease
her I also attended and shortly
thereafter became a member. I
attended the school of ministry at
the church for a total of five years
and had no idea that God had a job
for me. However when Dr. James
Carden opened this chapel at the
direction of the Holy Spirit and
shortly thereafter asked me to be a
part of the ministry, I agreed and
attended the chapel some and my
church some. I became a permanent
member of the staff in 2001. This
is very rewarding work and is (for
me) very fulfilling. As a prophecy
was given to me in 1999 and I quote
“God has a ministry for you and
although you are old you will live
until you finish that ministry”.
God bless and always keep your eyes
on the Savior. |

My name is Billy
Sims. I was brought up in a
Christian family and went to church
on a regular basis. My
dad worked a
swing shift and as a result did not
get to go every Sunday. My mom and
brothers were there almost every
Sunday. When I was about 10 years
old I went to Christian camp with
some of the other boys at the
church. I realized during camp that
something was missing in my life.
When I returned home the preacher
came to talk to me. I believe it was
the next Sunday morning that I gave
my life to Christ. Like most people
I didn't always behave like a
Christian, but I knew without a
doubt that I belonged to Christ. In
1993 I rededicated my life to Christ
and promised Him that I would live
the rest of my life doing whatever
He wanted me to do. Since that time
I have had several health issues,
but in the fall of 2001 I answered
the call to preach. I've preached at
the Truck stop for 10 years now, and
have enjoyed serving as chaplain
there. I am the father of 3 girls
and 1 !
son, whom I love very much. My
wife's name is Debbie and one
daughter is at home with us, Lori,
who is 16 years old. Lori is the
youngest of all my children. I look
forward to serving Christ for many
years to come.
Sincerely, Billy Sims.
