Charles & Ann Carden Charles & Ann Carden
Hello, I am Chaplain Charles Carden. Ann and I enjoy our being used by God to help those of you whom attend the Truckers Chapel. I attended the New Covenant School of Ministry for five years and at the present am a counselor for the TCO Bible study course. I also announce service times for the Chapel on the CB and on the PA for the parking lot. I have been a church member for most of my life, but some 20 or so years ago I was in a financial situation that I saw no immediate way out of. At about 2AM I told Jesus that I needed some help and I couldn't do this by my self. He answered my prayer that day, and I have never worried about a lot since that time. That was the time I found out Jesus is not only our savior but the leader of our life if we will let Him. He can and does answer all prayers, and gives strength in time of need.

I had been in the two way radio business for several years and was a private contractor for several state of Alabama departments also for some of the area FM radio stations performing antenna work and installing towers. In 1991 I was in a hurry and ignored God's word and fell for a distance of 48 ft. to the ground. Needless to say I suffered quite severe injuries and was on crutches and a cane for about two and a half years. My church (at the time) offered prayer support and financial help that was sorely needed until I could obtain disability payments. This ended my tower climbing career as you can imagine. Since that time I have almost constantly studied the Bible and have learned very much, as I continue to study, God continues to bless us.

Ann and I have been married for almost four years at the time of writing and I thank God for her. She is more than a wife, she is a partner, we are almost inseparable. Ann's father was an ordained minister, so she grew up in the Lord's word. Ann helps at the Chapel in various ways and is a constant source of love and help as well as joy to the Chapel family. She and I are blessed by God in so many ways and are always humble and thankful for our many blessings.
